| If you want to do the tour arround
the coast, take a lot of time. You will need almost a whole day for it. The starting point is
the main city Limenas. Then folow the sign to Prinos. We will left Limenas on a good
street and drive in direction for Skala Rachoni. |
| On the right hand you will have the shimmering
sea. On the left hand the mountains of the island. If you have a good sight, you are able
to see on the northern pint of the island the dry land.Skala Rachoni is a good vacation
for everyone who wants to get a rest and have some quiete.
Follow the sign Prinos, here you will left for a short while the
beautifull view to the sea with its picturesque bays. In Prinos there will be every monday
morning a market, you won`t miss. |

| Here you can by fresh fruits for
your trip along the coast. Take your time and enjoy the market. After this visit follow
the direction of Skala Sotiras. |

Leave the interior and head for the
coast. The island will show you all its beauty. If you once saw the bays with the inviding
blue of the sea, you won`t forget them. Skala Sotiras is the harbour of the village
Sotiras, which was constructed interior. The next village on the trip is Skala
Kallirachis.The harbour is similar to the harbours of Skala Rachoni and Skala Sotiras. But
the harbour of Skala Kallirachis is the most beautifull of them. |
| Follow now the direction of Skala
Marion.If you pay attention, you will see a rock, which looks like the skelett of the head
from a horse. Take your time and stopp at different vantage points. You will easy
recognize them, as the small pavillions ( made of stone) on the sides.From here you will
have every time again a fantastic view to the coast and the blue sea. If you now wants to
take a bath, take the last turn-off to Skala Marion. After a few metres there is a
beautifull bay at your left side. |

| Now following the direction to
Limenaria. It is the second biggest city on Thassos. On a small hill, build directly at
the harbour, there was the office of the firm Speidel. Behind the office you can see the
ruines of the fabric. It is permitted to visit this place, if you want. |

After the sightseeing of Lemenaria,
follow the direction of Potos. Here you will find some restaurants, were you can have a
meal. You can choose between the traditionell kitchen of Thassos, pizza and fish.
After lunch, take the direction to Astris.Now you can see the
beautifull beach of Psili Ammos. Drectly at the main street of Astris you will only find
some hotels and kiosks.

| The maincity is some hundret
metres interor. Drive trough Astris in direction os Alyki. Between Alki and Astris was
constructed the monastry Archangelou.It was build directly at the coast. It is only
permitted to visit the monastry with long trousers and chemise for men, and a skirt and
chemise. |
| If you don`t wear the obligated
clothes, it is possible to lent them at the entrance of the monastry.After visiting the
monastrie - following the street to Alyki. Alyki
is very beautifull with two bays. The bigger bay, where you will find bars and restaurants
directly at the beach, you will see far away. Here take a rest. You also can visit two
excavations at the spit from Alyki. |

| Go on, through Kinyra, to Panagia.
The villages Potomias and Skala Potomias are not directly at the main street arround the
island. You only pass by. Perhaps you want to take some time to visit Panagia. |

The fontaine in the middle of the
village provide everyone with fresh and cool water. Panagia, with the small white houses,
sends the visitors back into the past. At the end of the trip you have to visit Golden
Beach. You only have to drive down the double bend down to reach the beautifull Golden
Beach. Take a rest and enjoy Golden Beach befor you return to your hotel and finish
the tour. |
