In spring 2009 OTE (Greek Telecom) began with installing an optical fiber underground laying of cables along the ring street. Already in the fall new Highspeed Internetconnections will be available round the island. Because of two main connections to the mainland a genuine redundancy is achieved.
This is a pilot project and will be continued on other islands after finishing on Thassos....

Because the engine of the camera struck, only a static picture was to be seen unfortunately since a long time. On 03.07.2008 I repaired the motor. I found a defective control cable. Now everything works fine again and we hope that "Thassos-TV" keeps bringing a lot of fun to our visitors....
